Founded in 1981, Amtech Systems is a publicly traded company (Nasdaq: ASYS) supplying essential equipment, services and consumables to the semiconductor industry.  Our Semiconductor Fabrications Solutions (SFS) business provides consumables, parts and services for power semiconductor and mature node semiconductor OEMS.  Our Thermal Process Solutions (TPS) business provides equipment and services for semiconductor advanced packaging applications, electronic assembly and power semiconductor packaging.  The company manufactures products in several factories in the US and China and serves global customers. 

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Deburr to support the finishing and preparation of precision‑manufactured components used in semiconductor and aerospace applications. This role is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using a variety of hand tools and finishing equipment to ensure parts meet strict quality and dimensional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deburring, hand‑finishing, and edge‑break operations on metal components
• Use hand tools such as files, scrapers, sandpaper, air pens, die grinders, and right‑angle grinders
• Inspect parts visually and with basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify conformance
• Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality specifications
• Maintain accuracy and consistency when working with small, delicate, or high‑precision parts
• Handle and move parts safely throughout the finishing process
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards
• Communicate any defects, irregularities, or process concerns to the supervisor or quality team

Qualifications

• Previous experience in deburring, hand finishing, or precision part preparation in semiconductor, aerospace, or similar manufacturing environments preferred
• Familiarity with basic inspection and metrology tools
• Strong hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills
• Ability to follow written instructions and work with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move parts as required (typically up to 25–35 lbs.)
• Experience working in cleanroom or controlled environments is a plus but not required
